    The Avon Lake Waterfront Group is looking for volunteers for an hour of their time next Saturday, June 21, 2014 to work the Waterfront Wine Festival.  The festival runs from 4pm-sunset and there are openings for Admissions, Wristbands, Wine Pourers and Will Call. 

    If you volunteer for an hour, they are giving a 2014 Waterfront Wine Festival Wine glass and 10 tickets for wine tastings (a $20 value).  All our welcome!  Please pass along to family and friends.  You can register to help at this link:   Waterfront Wine Festival Sign Up Sheet

    The Greenbox is a free supervised craft and activity program designed for children 5-12 years of age. The parks and playgrounds are staffed with two attendants who assist participants with the activities. Children must have a permission form signed by parent/guardian and this is available at the Greenbox on your first visit.  

    The Greenbox is open June 9-July 18. See schedule of crafts here

    Spevock's Nautical Lanes offers Kids Bowl Free program all summer long! This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer.     2014 Mini Marching Band Camp

    “Get Happy”

    What:  A 3-day, 3 hours per day, mini marching band camp for children ages 4-8.  Avon Lake High School band students will lead small groups in marching exercises, crafts, songs and instrumental exploration.  At the end of the 3 days a parade will be held at the high school.  All participants will be invited to join the band for a performance on Band Preview Night.

    When:      June 11th, 12th, and 13th 9 a.m. to noon each day

    Where:      Avon Lake High School

    Cost:        $50 per child. This includes T-shirt, crafts & snacks

    If community "story times" or "playgroups" have been difficult for you and your child, this is the program for you!

    Who?      Toddler Session--Children ages 20-36 months accompanied by one caregiver. 

        Preschool Session--Children 3 and 4 years of age accompanied by one caregiver.

                   Sessions are limited to 6 children     (No siblings or additional children please)

    When?    Wednesday mornings 6/18/14 – 7/23/14

        Toddler Session--9:00 to 10:00 

        Preschool Session--10:30-11:30
