Registration

Registration is closed

All parade participants are to enter the Avon Lake High School parking lot from Electric Blvd between 9am – 9:30am. The parade will start sharply at 10am.  The volunteers will guide them to a location to park their vehicles and will guide them to where they are to line up with their families. Feel free to bring strollers or wagons for the kids (it could be fun to decorate them with a Memorial Day theme!)

The parade ends with a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park. The ceremony will begin at 10:45am at Veterans Memorial Park in the Lake House’s parking lot and will continue for almost hour.  There will be a time during the ceremony that people will be invited to place their flowers in the containers at the base of the Memorials.

Typically children bring flowers to place in vases at the park during the ceremony. Flowers can be picked from their home gardens (please do not purchase flowers) and wrapped in plastic wrap for holding them during the parade.  The parade marches through the streets of Avon Lake ending at Veterans Memorial Park (Lake and Route 83 Road).  All walkers will be guided across Lake Road by the Police Department.

After the ceremony, all participants are invited to a free picnic luncheon at the American Legion, Post 211 (8 minutes by car) located at 31972 Walker Rd, Avon Lake, OH 44012.  Veteran and CAP pilot, Pete Vallejo, will be playing the guitar singing folk songs.
